“For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink…” Matthew 25:35

Dear Ministry Partners,

We made it to the end of May! Thank you for bearing with us as we sent more emails this month. We will now return to our regular cadence of one email per month. Next week, on Monday, June 1 we will have a virtual gathering to share updates on the Volunteer Engagement Strategy. Please register here.

This is an exciting time for us on the Faith & Community Engagement team. We are looking forward to introducing you to our new strategy and sharing more over the next several months. We will be updating the Ministry Partner Role Description and providing more opportunities for people to engage with our work.

Several new stories have been posted on the new website. There is one highlighted below about our Moments The Matter®  program partnership in Kenya. It is also a great time to review our resource offerings that can be used in your communities throughout the summer.

If you need anything or would like to connect, please reach out. Thank you for all you do to support our work for lasting change!

Peace,

Jenny

New Ways Forward Through Community-Owned Empowerment Work in Brazil

Farmers and conservationists have been speaking out about the effects of mass producing açaí, climate change and industrial projects across Northern Brazil. We had the privilege to listen. Together, we are working to restore the Amazon, igniting hope for a healthier, more prosperous future. Read How We're Restoring the Amazon

Richard feels close to his children, but that wasn’t always the case. Like many men in his village, Richard was brought up believing that children were supposed to be raised by women, while a man’s role was only discipline.

For over 80 years, Episcopal Relief & Development has worked with an extensive network of faith and community partners to advance lasting change in communities affected by injustice, poverty, disaster and climate change. Inspired by our faith, we reach over three million people each year by focusing on four interconnected priorities: nurturing the potential of caregivers and young children, reducing violence against women and girls, strengthening communities’ resilience to climate change and facilitating humanitarian response to disasters. Together with our partners, we leverage what’s working well to drive impact, learning and sustainability. Together, we create lasting change. Join us: episcopalrelief.org.
